Biography
John Christopher Robinson is a veteran litigator with nearly three decades of diverse legal experience spanning personal injury, commercial litigation, consumer bankruptcy, and criminal prosecution. Licensed in both Kentucky and Indiana, John has built a reputation as a fierce advocate who knows the legal system from every angle.
A Powerhouse in Personal Injury & Medical Malpractice
John’s personal injury practice is informed by his early career defending over 100 workers’ compensation and medical malpractice claims for insurance carriers. This “insider knowledge” of defense strategies has allowed him to secure exceptional results for the injured, including a recent seven-figure structured settlement against a regional healthcare provider, as well as auto and motorcycle accident settlements exceeding $1.1 million and $750,000.
A Champion for Consumer Financial Relief
Since 2001, John has helped individuals navigate financial hardship, filing more than 750 consumer bankruptcy cases. Because of his extensive background litigating complex commercial disputes in state, federal, and arbitration tribunals, John is uniquely qualified to aggressively shield his clients from overzealous creditors when standard bankruptcy protections aren’t enough.
Distinguished Public Service & Deep Roots
In 2005, John returned home to Shelby County, opening a private practice alongside County Attorney Hart Megibben while concurrently serving as an assistant state’s prosecutor. As a prosecutor, John distinguished himself statewide, achieving the highest DUI conviction rate out of all 120 Kentucky counties from 2004 to 2008.
John holds an Economics degree from Transylvania University—where he was a standout student-athlete and led the varsity tennis team to national competition—and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1997. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky and the Southern District of Indiana, and is an active member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
Outside of the courtroom, John is a devoted father of two, an avid hiker, and travel enthusiast.
